Why I do what I do:
I am abstract
and so are you.
My art endeavors to explore things hidden to the conscious mind by following the flow of energy during active meditation. Each stroke and mark made with paint and ink hold the possibility to morph into different figures, faces, and scenes.
Each viewer’s individual perception of these marks and their personal emotional understanding of them is what I am the most interested in. How many different meanings are attached to what you see? It all feels like parts of a big puzzle to me.
I seek to communicate with spirit through the abstract to better understand myself and the connection we all share with each other and the energy that connects all life. Your unique perspective helps me understand my own mind and the world around us. What do you see?
